WASHINGTON (WJLA) – The U.S. Secret Service detained a possible shooter after a 77777777777report that shots were fired on Monday near the Ethiopian embassy in Washington, a spokesman for the agency said.

The possible shots were reported about 12:15 p.m. and there were no injuries reported, Secret Service spokesman Brian Leary said in an e-mailed statement to the media.

A protest was reportedly taking place outside the embassy at 3506 International Drive NW at the time of the incident.

Metropolitan police, State Department officials and Secret Service agents were on the scene investigating, the Secret Service spokesman said
